The blocks extracted from the quarry are cut into slabs…

The production process of natural stone (1)
Natural stone goes through various stages from its placement in a rocky outcrop to its transformation into an artistic or architectural element. This process includes the selection and extraction of the stone in quarries, the cutting and sizing of the pieces, their carving or surface finishing and their storage.
In the extraction of natural stone, unlike what happens with many other minerals, no chemical substances or other contaminants that can degrade the environment are used.
Once the block has been extracted from the quarry, it is classified according to different quality criteria, such as size, tone, number of veins, cleanliness and the presence of fissures.
The blocks extracted from the quarry are transported to the production units for further processing. At the facilities, they are unloaded and classified in the block yard, where they are prepared to be taken to the cutting section.
