Natural stone goes through various stages from its placement in…

The natural stone production process (2)
The blocks extracted from the quarry are cut into slabs of different thicknesses using looms, diamond wires and cutting saws. Once the slabs are obtained, the final size is given to the stone units by means of saws with diamond discs.
The finishing section is where the final shape and texture of the pieces is achieved using both manual and mechanical methods, depending on what is needed.
Polishing brings out the shine and color of the marble, leaving a smooth and shiny surface in a process that varies according to the dimensions of the block.
Grounding eliminates cut marks and provides a matte finish.
Aging gives a rough, dull appearance, simulating the passage of time.
Bushhammering offers a rougher surface, ideal for exteriors, while sandblasting has a less exaggerated roughness.
The scarfing, on the other hand, provides a more rustic surface.
Once this phase is completed, the marble is ready to be sold as a slab. Otherwise, it would be subjected to a new cutting and finishing process.
