The start-up of the expansion, which extends over the area adjacent to the old building, doubles the center’s current surface area from the current 54,000 m2 to 116,100 m2.

The regional government has also undertaken work on the façade of the Institute of Neurological Diseases, where beige ashlar stone slabs have been fixed.

The University Hospital (Institute of Neurological Diseases) of Guadalajara thus becomes a hospital complex with which to respond to the healthcare needs of a doubled population and increase its capacity and portfolio of services.
